To be considered you will need:
- 15 years of age or older
- Red Cross Lifeguard Certification
Youll be a great fit if you can/are:
- Promote and follow our mission statement, values and expectations

- Complete the City provided pre-season training
- Follow and enforce rules
- Good problem solver and self-motivated
- Detail oriented, consistent, fair and pays attention to detail
- Maintain consistent alertness and awareness of patrons activities to minimize threats of incident or accident
- Recognize and assist in emergency situations
You have knowledge of:
- Aquatic programming and pool practices and procedures
- American Red Cross methods and techniques of water safety and lifeguarding skills
The Elbow Grease of the job:
- Frequently be walking, bending, and occasionally lifting up to 100 pounds
- Occasionally stoop or crouch
- Required to work flexible hours
- Swimming
- Cleaning and maintenance duties

- Work outside weather conditions and exposure to heat and sun
- Noise levels at times can be loud
- Possible exposure to stress caused by conflicts with other employees or the public
