To be considered you will need:

• 15 years of age or older
• Red Cross Lifeguard Certification

Youll be a great fit if you can/are:

• Promote and follow our mission statement, values and expectations
• Help promote a positive attitude
• Complete the City provided pre-season training
• Follow and enforce rules
• Good problem solver and self-motivated
• Detail oriented, consistent, fair and pays attention to detail
• Maintain consistent alertness and awareness of patrons activities to minimize threats of incident or accident
• Recognize and assist in emergency situations

You have knowledge of:

• Aquatic programming and pool practices and procedures
• American Red Cross methods and techniques of water safety and lifeguarding skills

The Elbow Grease of the job:

• Frequently be walking, bending, and occasionally lifting up to 100 pounds
• Occasionally stoop or crouch
• Required to work flexible hours
• Swimming
• Cleaning and maintenance duties

The Environment and Company Culture:

• Work outside weather conditions and exposure to heat and sun
• Noise levels at times can be loud
• Possible exposure to stress caused by conflicts with other employees or the public
• Balancing multiple duties and deadlines at the same time can be stressful
