What are the responsibilities and job description for the Litigation Attorney position at Farrin?

What The Day Looks Like:
• Drafting pleadings, briefs, memos, and discovery requests/responses
• Conducting legal research
• Investigating the factual and legal viability of potential cases
• Working with expert witnesses
• Attending and covering motion and other court hearings, presenting oral argument and taking and defending depositions
• Preparing for and participating in trials
• Monitoring cases in order to satisfy deadlines
• Exploring and implementing ways to maximize case value
• Communicating with clients with compassion and empathy and in a manner that encourages their confidence and trust
• Support attorneys and staff within the litigation team
Our Ideal Candidate:
• 1 - 3 years of litigation experience preferred
• 1st or 2nd chair trial experience
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required
• South Carolina license is a plus but not required
• North Carolina license required
• Location is flexible, but must be able to try cases across North Carolina
