Position Overview: Sales Engineering is crucial to driving the success of our Sales team. As a Sales Engineer, you will be a key partner in delivering exceptional service to our customers, communities, and employees. You’ll collaborate directly with Account Executives, Account Managers, and Sales Leadership to ensure we meet our sales objectives and deliver results. This dynamic role is both internally and externally focused, acting as the bridge between Sales, Product, Marketing, Engineering, and Field Operations, all while representing the customer’s needs.

As a Sales Engineer, you'll stay up to date on Fastwyre’s full suite of commercial solutions and play a vital role in educating internal teams on how these solutions operate and are supported. Your efforts will help drive immediate sales and contribute to long-term success by ensuring smooth implementation and continued customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Sales teams to provide technical expertise and insights needed to finalize customer solutions.
  • Lead presentations for complex solutions and support the negotiation process with Sales.
  • Assist the Sales team in understanding cost structures and IRR calculations for proposed solutions.
  • Manage the site survey process, either through on-site visits or virtual options when applicable.
  • Utilize company tools and systems to ensure a seamless transfer of technical information to Order Management and Engineering for smooth implementation.
  • Provide formal and on-the-spot training to Sales and internal teams for continued technical education.
  • Identify opportunities for business expansion, create business cases, and drive the sales pipeline.
  • Work closely with Operations teams to ensure customer expectations are met during the implementation phase.
  • Build cross-functional relationships with Regional Directors of Commercial Sales to drive success.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support team and company goals.

Skills & Qualifications for Success:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, maintaining a professional and positive tone in all customer and team interactions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other tools/systems, with the ability to adapt to new technology as it evolves.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to achieve shared goals.
  • Embrace workplace change and foster innovative thinking within the team.
  • Knowledge of fiber optic data and telecom solutions, including fiber construction fundamentals.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet customer needs and business demands.
  • Willingness to travel for company meetings, trade shows, and customer engagements.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading sales efforts in Telecom, Cable, or Technology industries, with a proven track record of exceeding sales goals.
  • Expertise in leading successful sales organizations and delivering results in technology-driven businesses.

Salary : $65,000 - $78,000
