Position Summary: The role of the CBU Controller is to provide oversight and support for the financial management of the company. The CBU Controller leads the month-end process of his or her CBUs and coordinates the Program Controllers in this exercise. The CBU Controller publishes monthly reports of the R&D activity, such as, but not limited to, R&D P&L, Program Flash report, Actual-P reporting. He or she analyzes variances to Forecast and Budget. The CBU Controller is responsible to consolidate program financial data and prepare financial planning reports to support the Customer Business Units (CBUs) and Division Management Team as required. The CBU Controller activities include balance sheet review, P&L and cash forecast, annual budget, and strategic plan support. He or she ensures that financial commitments including engineering budgets, sales forecasts, variable cost targets, CAPEX, and working capital are achieved. The role includes a fair amount of project management and process improvements in order to create and maintain the corporate financial control system of the CBUs.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure reliability and accuracy of accounting data.
- Ensure compliance to Faurecia Core Procedures (FCP) and IFRS Accounting practices.
- Coordinate activities between CBU controlling, purchasing controlling, plants, and Sales community to accurately forecast & plan sales revenues, margin, price reduction, and engineering amortization.
- Support senior management with ad hoc and periodic analysis regarding sales & margin trends, profitability, scenario planning, budgeting/forecasting for assigned CBUs. Ensure proper follow up of the sales price and contributes to the squeeze analyses.
- Ensure proper coding of expenses for tracking and reporting. Create and maintain associated projects, internal orders, and cost centers within SAP.
- Prepare and/or delegate journal entries to support the month-end closing process and control their accuracy.
- Communicate with the External Auditors and provide requested information.
- Perform monthly R&D P&L and cash reports and explanation of variances to Forecast and Budget.
- Consolidate financial data and prepare financial planning reports to support the Customer Business Units (CBUs) and Division Management Team as required.
- Support construction of annual Budget and Strategic Plan.
- Develop and implement internal control processes within his or her team.
- Development of business cases for all RFQ, guiding and incorporating inputs from manufacturing, operations, engineering, procurement, and product delivery.
- Program reporting and ad-hoc financial analysis to CBU leader and executive management.
- Participate in the development of action plans and ensure their financial evaluation and follow-up

Education / Experience:
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or other business management discipline.
- Ideal candidate will have a minimum 4 years’ experience of working within a finance organization. Automotive industry (either OEM or supplier) experience is preferable.
