What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Control Specialist (Clive, IA) position at FAWN MANUFACTURING INC?
The Inventory Control Specialist will be a member of a team that measures inventory quantity and location accuracy, maintains records, and monitors all inventory transactions. This role is crucial for the achievement of customer satisfaction, production goals, and continuous improvement towards the perpetuation of organizational excellence. Qualified candidates are given opportunities for additional training to bridge knowledge gaps which may position the individual for consideration in succession planning/promotion.
Duties:
- Perform cycle counts in accordance with the ABC cycle count program, and present a precise accounting of the current state of inventory accuracy,
- Perform stock location verification activities, and present a precise accounting of the state of location accuracy,
- Investigate inventory variances, make corrections, and report root cause(s) to management for the purpose of facilitating an effective decision-making process,
- Investigate ineffective practices which adversely affect inventory/location accuracy throughout the product realization process, and report opportunities for improvement - participating as assigned in activities necessary to continuously improve inventory and location accuracy,
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma, or equivalent
- Prior experience in inventory control
- Prior experience in manufacturing
- Preferred - prior inventory control experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to be on your feet, on the go, for upwards of 80% of the workday,
- Attention to detail
