Position Summary

FedData Technology Solutions, LLC FDTS is seeking a Junior Facility Security Officer (FSO) to join our team. The Jr. FSO will learn all aspects of physical security for the FDTS facility as well as maintain government regulations and company policies related to security clearance, access control, and classified information.

Essential Job Functions

  • Gain knowledge of and maintain FDTS security policies and procedures in accordance with government regulations (e.g., NISPOM).
  • Assist in managing the Defense Security Service (DSS) Security Vulnerability Assessments to ensure compliance with NISPOM.
  • Assist with the security clearance process for employees and contractors.
  • Perform administrative duties regarding security clearances.
  • Conduct security briefings for new hires and annual training for current employees on topics such as Counterintelligence/Threat Awareness, Physical Security, Travel Procedures and Reporting Requirements.
  • Coordinate with Facility Manager for facility inspections, audits, and compliance reviews.
  • Assist employees in getting to appointments, gather documentation, and answering government inquiries and concerns.

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Due to the nature of this position and the information that employees will be required to access, U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Active Top Secret SCI clearance with poly
  • Must have a minimum of HS diploma or GED.
  • 2-4 years relevant experience supporting Industrial Security Program activities.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of clearance processing, document control, and physical security.
  • Familiarity with the NISPOM, Intelligence Community Directives (ICD's), and other national security standards.
  • Must be a self-starter with efficient follow-through skills.
  • Must be detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word)

 

Pay Scale:

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $29.33 to $36.05 p/h

The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. When determining a base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., years of relevant experience, education, credentials, and internal equity).

 

Working Conditions:

Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are normally set from Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm,however some extended or weekend hours may be required. Additional details on the precise hours will be informed to the candidate from the Program Manager/Hiring Manager.

 

Physical Requirements:

May be required to lift and carry items weighting up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the work day.

 

Background Screening/Check/Investigation:

Successful Completion of a Background Screening/Check/Investigation will be required as a condition of hire.
