Position Summary
Packaging Technicians play a crucial role in our production, ensuring the highest quality beverages reach our customers. They must operate with integrity, focus, and adaptability across various production line positions.
An ideal candidate is highly skilled, punctual, and enjoys collaborating with a team of like-minded professionals.
Schedule: Part-time & On-call (8-10 hour shifts)
General Duties/Responsibilities
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Conduct safety inspections of packaging equipment and work areas.
Report any safety hazards or incidents to the Packaging Supervisor immediately.
Participate in safety training and promote a culture of safety awareness.
Assist with setup, breakdown, and cleaning of bottling lines on packing days.
Rotate through various positions on the packaging line.
Ensure products meet quality standards (caps secured, liquid levels correct, labels aligned, boxes intact).
Fill and clean kegs as needed.
Perform daily cleaning and setup following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Mix case flavors as needed.
Complete deep cleaning or special projects as required.
Engage in training sessions on safety, operational procedures, skill development, and compliance.
Food Safety and Quality Responsibilities
Follow GMP policies and encourage compliance among team members.
Understand and adhere to SQF policies on pest control, visitors, allergens, and sanitation.
Support the company's commitment to Food Safety and Quality.
Report food quality or safety concerns to the Quality Assurance Manager for corrective action.
Required Skills/Abilities
Forklift and pallet jack experience preferred but not required.
Strong attention to detail.
Awareness of safety precautions and hazards.
Ability to work collaboratively to achieve production goals.
Positive, team-oriented attitude.
Willingness to work extended shifts or overtime as needed.
Flexible work hours based on operational demands.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED required.
Work Environment/Physical Requirements
30-minute unpaid lunch break; two paid 15-minute breaks.
Crowded manufacturing space; must be aware of forklift traffic.
Noisy environment, with potential dust and temperature extremes.
Standing, walking, pushing, pulling, stooping, and lifting required 100% of the time.
Must lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally with assistance.
