Overview
FEI is a dynamic organization that has lines of business in Distribution, Manufacturing, and Service, which all primarily serve the agriculture and energy industries.
This position will perform administrative duties related to HR initiatives for the entire organization.
Essential Functions

- In close partnership with the HR Director, facilitate a variety of projects, from inception to completion, including:
- Compliance management
- Educational campaigns
- Safety directives
- Benefit system updates
- Open Enrollment task support and benefit-related communications
- Projects will span various aspects of Human Resources, including Benefits; Compensation; Employee Relations; Leaves; Onboarding; Payroll; Recruiting; Safety; Training; and Work Comp.
- Projects may be one-time, cyclical, or ongoing.
- Field questions from employees and managers across the organization via phone and/or email.
- Provide proactive and timely status updates.
- Build relationships with external parties including TPAs, brokers, and carriers.
- Prepare periodic reports and perform HR-related administrative duties.
Competencies:
- Knowledge of Human Resources practices.
- Written and Verbal Communication skills and knack for interpersonal relations needed to exchange and convey information with employees and external contacts in an accurate, professional, and timely manner.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A process improvement mindset.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA at all times.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2-3 Years working with multiple facets of Human Resources.
- Prior experience leading, or contributing heavily to, long-term projects.
- Prior experience with Employee Navigator and/or Paychex is a plus.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibility.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role may also use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands

This is largely a sedentary role, requiring prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision and distance vision.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Travel
Travel is primarily within the local area, during the business day. Travel expectations are less than 5%.
