Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. Responsibilities
- Maintain and update financial records using Quickbooks Nonprofit Online.
- Perform double entry bookkeeping to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and account analysis to verify the integrity of financial data.
- Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
- Assist with technical accounting tasks and provide support during audits.
- Utilize 10 key typing skills for efficient data entry and record management.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information and documentation.
- Prepare financial statements and reports as needed for management review.
- Provide basic administrative tasks to support the Kalamazoo office in coordination with the main office.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting, with a strong understanding of governmental accounting practices preferred.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Excell
- Experience with nonprofit accounting.
- Strong knowledge of double entry bookkeeping principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform account analysis effectively.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Familiarity with payroll processing is a plus.
