Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software such as Sage and Quicken.
- Perform account analysis and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for management review.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts based on historical data and trends.
- Collaborate with public accounting firms during audits to provide necessary documentation and support.
- Monitor cash flow and assist in managing bank reconciliations.
- Stay updated on technical accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Sage, Quicken, or similar) and financial software applications.
- Familiarity with public accounting practices is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform account analysis effectively.
- Knowledge of financial concepts, including balance sheet reconciliation and technical accounting standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with team members and management.
