Accounting Assistant for Law Firm

Overview
Rapidly growing prominent national law firm is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to provide assistance to our accounting department.

Duties

• Assist accounting team with preparation of client settlements and advances.
• Support data entry tasks, including processing invoices and tracking expenses.
• Help maintain accurate records of vendors and financial transactions in client files.
• Help manage case expenses which includes scanning expenses to client folders and update case management software and spreadsheets.
• Return client phone calls.
• Make copies of checks and mail to clients and vendors.
• File accounting documents such as checks and expense invoices.

Requirements

• Experience in an office environment.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Strong ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong data entry skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Professional demeanor and capacity to keep information confidential.
• Ability to interface with clients in a professional manner.
• 10 Key
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively within the team.

This is a contract position with the ability to become permanent based upon performance. Once permanent, we offer health insurance, dental and vision insurance, and 401k, and PTO.

Pay: $17.50 - $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
