About the Role :

The Sales Director, Regional West - Grocery Channel will be responsible for driving growth through our Regional Grocery Customers in the Western part of the marketplace, achieving targets as agreed with our customers and broker partners. This key position will implement and execute brand strategies with top customers across the US and will be strongly considered for future Sr Leadership Team (SLT) roles.

The right candidate for the position can be located from Chicago area west within the United States. This is a remote position and will report to the VP Sales, Grocery Channel.

Main Responsibilities :

  • Delivering Sales Revenue & Financial Results within a trade funding budget across portfolio
  • Focused on Regional Customers in the Northwest
  • Achieving customer and channel level Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to Distribution, Shelving, Merchandising and Pricing (DSMP)
  • Build High Performance Team of Engaged Business Owners including 4 direct reports of Account Managers
  • Drive accountability and results with National Broker Agency partners at all levels
  • Execution of Joint Business Planning (JBP) plans and collaboration with Sr Management from key Grocery retailers
  • Lead cross-functional supporting customer teams and co-develop strategies and tactics to deliver goals

Level of Freedom and Challenge

  • High level of freedom & complexity managing an extensive portfolio of 15 leadership brands across confections, snacking and baking categories
  • Lead & Manage broker teams to drive Return on Investment (ROI)
  • Shaping & influencing the Channel Go-to-market (GTM) strategies
  • Managing Sr Relationships with Customers
  • Who we are looking for :

  • 10 years of experience preferably with management position within Grocery industry
  • Customer & full channel knowledge
  • Strategic thinker with strong executive presentation skills, story-telling and ability to influence
  • Broker management at Sr levels
  • Organizational agility & understanding of how to maximize effectiveness of cross-functional resources across trade market, category management, supply chain and revenue growth management
  • Knowledge & expertise within snacking, confections, seasonal or impulse categories preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a proactive and timely manner
  • Ability to generate positive relationships and foster a team environment
  • Build relationships at Sr Executive levels & store group levels at customers to drive strategic partnerships
  • Understanding of omni / e-commerce emerging segment is a plus
  • Ability to travel approximately 65%
