Contract to Hire HR Generalist
Ferretti Search is delighted to partner with a growing company to locate their next HR Generalist.
Location: Charlotte Metro
Compensation: $34/HR - $38/HR
Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all HR processes, including onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle management.
- Stay informed on local and federal employment laws to ensure compliance in all HR activities.
- Manage employee relations, dispute resolution, and performance management, acting as the primary contact for all employee-related matters.
- Utilize HRIS (Human Resources Information System) to manage employee data, track key HR metrics, and generate analytical reports.
- Provide daily HR support by addressing employee inquiries and resolving HR-related concerns.
- Conduct regular HR audits to ensure data accuracy, policy adherence, and overall HR effectiveness.
- Assist with recruitment efforts as needed by department heads.
- Support the administration of employee benefit programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other incentives.
- Develop and implement HR strategies to enhance employee engagement, morale, and retention.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of performance evaluation systems, coaching managers and employees on goal setting and feedback.
- Work with department leaders to identify high performers for recognition and career development opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver training programs.
- Provide backup support for payroll input, audits, and processing as needed.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience as an HR Generalist in technology or field services-related industries.
- Experience in the construction industry is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant state and federal employment laws.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Experience managing HR operations, programs, and functions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions based on data and analysis.
- Proficiency in HR systems, payroll processes, and HR best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Reliable and committed to continuous improvement and learning.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications, with advanced Excel skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
