HR Director – Manufacturing

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic HR Director to lead the human resources function for a growing manufacturing organization. This role is responsible for developing and executing HR strategies that support business objectives, enhance employee engagement, and drive cultural and organizational growth. The HR Director will oversee all HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, compensation, benefits, and performance management.
This position requires a hands-on leader with a deep understanding of multisite manufacturing environments, the ability to navigate complex workforce challenges, and the expertise to implement best-in-class HR practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the company’s goals and manufacturing operations.
- Lead talent acquisition efforts to attract and retain top-tier manufacturing and corporate talent.
- Oversee employee relations, ensuring a positive and productive workplace culture.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
- Develop and manage compensation and benefits programs to remain competitive in the industry.
- Drive employee engagement and retention initiatives to support business growth.
- Oversee performance management, training, and leadership development programs.
- Partner with senior leadership to enhance workforce planning, succession planning, and HR best practices.
- Lead HR process improvements and implement systems to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on all people-related matters.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and influence at all levels of an organization.
- HR Expertise: Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR compliance, talent management, and labor relations.
- Strategic Mindset: Ability to align HR initiatives with business goals and drive organizational change.
- Hands-On Approach: Willing to be both strategic and tactical in managing HR operations.
- Manufacturing Experience: Prior experience supporting HR functions in a manufacturing setting is highly preferred.
