Position Summary:
The Director of Human Resources will be primarily focused on supporting Construction Operations and the President at Fortress Fencing. Additionally, the Director of Human Resources will have responsibilities for process improvement, documentation, talent acquisition and sourcing, HR initiatives and projects. The Director of Human Resources will have a large focus on company growth through talent, apprenticeship programs and retention.
Additionally, the Director of Human Resources may be asked to help lead, coach members of the team.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead talent acquisition efforts through sourcing, building a pipeline and partnership with organizations.
- Grow apprenticeship programs and support a robust and beneficial program for apprentices.
- Build out process improvement and policies that fit construction.
- Partner with leadership and Human Resources on IRA program and apprenticeship programs.
- Manage a team of talent acquisition professionals.
- Provide guidance and support on IRA compliance.
- Lead and facilitate mobilization and demobilization efforts for construction projects.
- Develop, implement and maintain staffing plans, mobilization processes and reporting.
- Manage expectations with hiring managers.
- Develop meaningful partnerships and relationships with hiring managers.
- Ability to prioritize and organize high-priority requisitions.
- Lead investigations and employee relations matters.
- Develop and generate standard and ad hoc reporting.
- Facilitate and coordinate exit interviews as necessary.
- Support the employee Performance Assessment process and annual cyclical processes as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
- At least 15 years of related experience recruiting and human resources for construction related organizations.
- Or at least 5 years of Field HR experience.
- Detailed oriented.
- Efficient in excel, word, PowerPoint.
- Expert in optimizing and reporting out of an ATS.
- Ability to work in a matrix organization and support multiple leaders and teammates.
- Strong communication skills verbally and written.
- Presenting to audiences
- Ability to multitask.
- Travel up to 50% of the time.
