What you’ll do!
As a Bilingual College Planning Specialist, your day will vary. At times, you’ll be preparing financial aid, admissions, and student loan applications. Other times, you’ll help resolve challenges, guide students through the college and career search process, and answer questions about financial aid and college admissions. Your services will primarily be provided to high schools and community-based agencies, with occasional support to middle schools. Additionally, you’ll work closely with professional partners, including high school counselors, community agency staff, administrators, educators, and college admissions and financial aid professionals.

What you’ll need!
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university required; two years of related experience and/or training in college admissions, financial aid, school counseling, or the student loan industry preferred.
- Knowledge of financial aid programs, college admissions, and financial aid procedures is desirable.
- Familiarity with college admissions and entrance procedures is beneficial.
- Proven ability to interpret procedure manuals or federal regulations, and to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Impeccable attention to detail, with experience in project management and data analysis.
- Effectively present information to both large and small groups in virtual, in-person, and one-on-one settings.
- Proficiency in both English and Spanish is required.
- Irregular hours, including weekends, evenings, and occasional overnight travel required.
- The position is located in our Lincoln College Planning Office.
- Ability to provide personal transportation and maintain automotive insurance.
- Successful completion of a background check is required.
