What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commercial Counsel position at Fetch?
Your Role:
- Draft and Negotiate: Own drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, from creation through redlining, discussion with key internal stakeholders, and negotiations with counterparties, ensuring that final agreements have appropriate risk allocations and meet key Fetch objectives.
- Collaborate & Implement: Work directly with Finance, Sales, and other teams to ensure contract provisions and processes are optimized for teams across the business, implementing improvements on a rolling basis.
- Solve Problems in Real-Time: Provide fast, actionable guidance on commercial issues, balancing legal requirements with business objectives.
- Stay Ahead of the Curve: Monitor changes in applicable laws and trends to ensure Fetch stays compliant and protected while driving innovation.
- Get in the Trenches: Conduct training sessions, create internal resources, and refine commercial practices, contract templates, and contract management workflows to support our evolving business and team needs.
Who You Are:
- JD with bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- 3-5 years of experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts (sales, vendor, etc.).
- Strong communicator who can effectively explain complex legal issues to non-lawyers and excels at working cross-functionally with a wide range of internal stakeholders.
- Sound business judgment and skilled at juggling multiple priorities.
- A creative problem solver who can help our teams navigate novel deals.
- Experience with a contract lifecycle management tool a plus but not required.
Compensation: At Fetch, we offer competitive compensation packages to the exceptional folks we hire. The base salary range for this position is $193,400-$210,000. We also
