Job Title: Maintenance Team Leader
Description:
This position is responsible for maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring maintenance activities are accomplished in a timely manner. Effective communication is crucial to train, develop, and coach team members for long-term performance.
The Maintenance Team Leader will be involved in organizing and planning regular maintenance work on all equipment and systems within the plant. They will review and rationalize preventive maintenance procedures, evaluate, and maximize maintenance processes in collaboration with other support personnel and staff.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Assisting in hiring and training team members, ensuring compliance with safety training, administering evaluations, enforcing company policies, and managing work schedules.
- Managing the implementation and operation of an inventory and PM schedule.
- Supervising multiple shift operations of maintenance technicians, parts personnel, and maintenance crew leaders.
- Managing Maintenance Shop activities.
- Identifying and recommending new equipment, performing various installations, and re-layout of production lines as needed.
- Responsibly managing and scheduling the everyday work and attendance of maintenance team members.
- Establishing and administering departmental policies, safety procedures, regulations, and SOPs.
- Establishing priorities for the maintenance department, skills assessment, and training opportunities.
- Continuously improving operations and addressing work inefficiencies while implementing corrective actions.
- Supporting maintenance technicians in troubleshooting procedures related to equipment applications and control systems.
- Leveraging the Maintenance team to meet or exceed regulatory or customer expectations regarding food safety and quality.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in food manufacturing.
- Availability to work weekends and extended time.
- Ability to supervise skilled workers and possess extensive experience in plant operations.
- Excellent troubleshooting ability, technical knowledge of production equipment, mechanical and electrical equipment, computer operations, and the ability to motivate maintenance personal under pressure.
- Knowledge of industrial tools and test equipment.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed.
Estimated Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per year
