THE POSITION
Main Activities and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Executive Director, Government Relations, the Stadium Government Lead will be a key member of the FIFA Club World Cup 25 Government Engagement team and will work in close collaboration with government entities and other key individuals responsible for delivering efforts to ensure seamless government engagement and protocol operations for the FIFA Club World Cup 2025.
The main responsibilities and oversight of the Stadium Government Lead for the FIFA Club World Cup 25™ include:
- Assist the Government Relations team in executing a comprehensive government relations strategy for the tournament, ensuring close coordination with stakeholders and internal functional areas.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for high-ranking federal, state, and local dignitaries attending matches at the assigned stadium, ensuring smooth coordination and communication.
- Coordinate with the Guest Operations team to implement high-level protocol services, including liaising with federal, state, and local government agencies, as well as embassies, on invitations and other VIP guest requirements.
- Work closely with the Safety & Security team to facilitate government official arrivals, stadium access, and escorted movements, ensuring alignment with security protocols.
- Oversee logistics and operational planning related to government relations projects at the assigned tournament venue.
- Organize and manage meetings, briefings, and engagements with elected officials and senior-level stakeholders in the lead-up to and during the tournament.

- Understanding of event planning and project management processes.
- Familiarity with outreach strategies and amplification plans to enhance public engagement.
- Prior experience with international or large-scale events is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
- Strong project management and operational coordination skills.
