Job Summary
The Financial Analyst will be key in monitoring and reporting on FilterEasy’s financial performance. The role is expected to have a strong focus on operating costs, while also supporting month-end reporting and other FP&A functions. The ideal candidate will have a solid analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of cost accounting within a manufacturing and subscription-based business model. This role provides exposure to both financial and operational data, requiring the ability to work cross-functionally with other teams to provide actionable insights to drive business performance.
The Financial Analyst will travel to our manufacturing facilities in Wilson, NC, to be closely involved with operations, understand cost drivers at the source, and build relationships with key operational teams that you will support going forward.

Duties/Responsibilities
- Operating Cost Tracking & Reporting: Manage the tracking, analysis, and reporting of operating costs, ensuring alignment with budgeted and forecasted expenses.
- Month-End Reporting: Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in the reporting of financial results.
- Cost Analysis: Provide detailed insights into cost drivers, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization within the business.
- Forecasting & Budgeting: Support the preparation of periodic forecasts and annual budgets, working closely with cross-functional teams.
- Subscription Metrics Analysis: Leverage an understanding of subscription-based business models to analyze key metrics (e.g., Customer Lifetime Value, Churn, CAC) and provide insights for strategic decision-making.
- Collaboration with Operations Teams: Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, and other business units to gather and analyze operational data related to production costs, inventory, and fulfillment.
- Ad-hoc Financial Analysis: Support ad-hoc financial analyses to guide business decisions and strategic planning.
- Process Improvements: Identify areas for process improvement within cost tracking, reporting, and FP&A functions to drive efficiency and accuracy.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to analyze complex financial data, draw insights, and communicate findings clearly.
- High attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
- Deep understanding of manufacturing cost drivers and subscription-based business models; bonus points for experience in manufacturing businesses.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and expertise in financial modeling.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Must be willing to travel periodically to our manufacturing facilities in Wilson, NC, as part of the role.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. CPA, CFA, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial analysis, with a strong focus on cost accounting or reporting. Exposure to manufacturing environments and cost reporting is highly preferred.
- Experience in ERP systems is required, with a strong desire to become proficient in ERP functionality and reporting within finance. Bonus points for experience with NetSuite or other advanced ERP platforms.
