Job Overview:
The Director of Quality Assurance will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Exostar’s quality management systems and processes. This role is responsible for ensuring that all products and services adhere to the highest standards of quality, integrity, and functionality while aligning with industry regulations and customer expectations.
This position will collaborate cross-functionally to drive quality initiatives, strategic evaluations, and corrective measures, integrating cutting-edge automation technologies to enhance quality assurance and optimize the software development lifecycle. The Director will also be responsible for building a culture of excellence, ensuring compliance, and improving operational efficiencies across teams.

- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Exostar’s Quality Management System (QMS).
- Oversee the integration of automated testing frameworks into CI/CD pipelines to enhance software validation.
- Ensure all products and services adhere to ISO, ANSI, and regulatory compliance standards.
- Guide quality engineering efforts towards on-time delivery, broadening test automation coverage, and performance validation.
- Conduct random inspections, audits, and defect trend analysis to improve product quality.
- Collaborate with engineering leadership, DevOps, and product management to embed quality deep into Exostar’s software development lifecycle.
- Act as a hands-on coach and center of excellence, mentoring teams on best practices in quality assurance.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using data-driven insights and quality metrics such as Escape Defect Rate.
- Develop and enforce testing methodologies, tools, and standards to enhance overall quality maturity.
- Facilitate cross-functional communication, ensuring alignment between engineering, compliance, and customer needs.
- Assume a high level of ownership overall quality initiatives, ensuring a culture of excellence and accountability
Basic Qualifications:
You meet our “must haves” for this role if you have:
- 10 years of experience in Quality Assurance leadership, preferably in SaaS, cybersecurity, or highly regulated industries.
- Proven expertise in test automation frameworks, CI/CD integration, and Shift Left quality strategies.
- Familiarity with ISO, ANSI, FedRAMP, and regulatory compliance for security-focused SaaS environments.
- Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Zephyr, BitBucket, Bamboo, Docker, Selenium, Cucumber/Gherkin, TestNG, and JMeter.
- Experience managing geographically dispersed teams and driving collaboration across multiple locations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk-based testing skills.
- Exceptional communication and leadership abilities, with a proven track record of training and mentoring teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
