Key Responsibilities:
Lead the full project lifecycle, from estimating and planning to execution and closeout.
Manage multiple substation construction projects, ensuring they meet specifications, budget, and schedule.
Conduct site visits, assess project feasibility, and coordinate with clients to define project requirements.
Research project specifications, solicit bids from suppliers and subcontractors, and develop competitive estimates.
Oversee project planning meetings, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure efficient project execution.
Provide continuous updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment with project objectives.
Mentor and oversee Assistant Project Managers to support their professional development.
Maintain and manage all project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
Monitor project performance, track budgets, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and industry best practices.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Relevant field experience may be considered in place of a degree.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within substation construction. Prior experience in substation estimating is essential.
Strong background in project planning, budgeting, and risk management.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction take-offs.
Proficiency in construction management software; Primavera experience preferred.
Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams and collaborate with stakeholders.
