Finitetek Inc. is seeking a highly skilled diesel fleet mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Regularly inspect and maintain diesel trucks, trailers, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential problems and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities to ensure seamless operations.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to schedule repairs and minimize downtime.
- Procure and install replacement parts as needed, adhering to proper inventory management practices.
- Comply with all company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in diesel technology and repair techniques.
Essential Qualifications:
3 years of experience as a diesel mechanic or in a similar role.
Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of diesel engine systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
- Able to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Valid driver's license; CDL is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, bend, kneel, and work in various environments.
