- Staff management: Assign tasks to staff, supervise performance, and train new and current employees
- Customer service: Handle customer complaints and provide exceptional guest service
- Health and safety: Ensure the restaurant is clean and tidy, and comply with health and safety codes
- Food safety: Ensure food safety protocols are followed, such as proper hand washing and temperature control
- Cash management: Balance cash drawers and prepare cash deposits
- Inventory management: Maintain a fully-stocked inventory and order food supplies
- Shift scheduling: Organize shift schedules for team members
- Performance reviews: Conduct performance reviews and share feedback with staff and management
