What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Facilities Manager position at First Alternative Natural Foods Co-op?
Position Summary
Responsible for assisting the Facilities Manager in coordinating and ensuring the safety, cleanliness, and functionality of all equipment, structures and properties. Works closely with Facilities Manager on the specific challenges of all locations to organize, coordinate and complete building and equipment maintenance and repair projects, using creativity and cost-effective means.
Requirements
- Ability to provide excellent customer service and interact with a wide variety of customers both internal and external
- Knowledge of troubleshooting and repair of grocery retail furniture, fixtures and equipment
- Knowledge of grocery retail MEP systems
- Rough carpentry skills. Ability to operate power tools. Working knowledge of hand tools
- Excellent communication skills including verbal and written instructions and active listening
- Must be of legal age to purchase alcohol (21 years)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
