What are the responsibilities and job description for the Church Pianist position at First Baptist Church York?
Looking for an experienced pianist and/or keyboardist that is familiar with playing church hymns. Weekly practice is Wednesday night at 7:00 - 8:00 pm and our services are on Sunday mornings from 10:30am - 12:30pm . Salary will be discussed during interview.
Duties to include but not limited to:
-serve as primary accompanist for the sanctuary choir and available to consult with Minister of Music on a weekly basis
-prepare Prelude, offertory, and quiet mediation music weekly
-accompanies congregation during regular worship service as scheduled by church
-prepare music for special services, revivals, funerals (if asked) and special events
-assist Minister of Music in the development of a comprehensive music ministry
Job Type: Part-time
Expected hours: 3 per week
