What are the responsibilities and job description for the Worship Pianist/Accompanist position at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)?
First Christian Church of Birmingham is seeking a part-time Worship Pianist/Accompanist. We have an immediate opening for a skilled pianist to play worship music and hymns for our Sunday morning worship service. There is an opportunity to also work with our chancel choir for a candidate who has skills to lead choral singing.
About First Christian Church
We are an Open and Affirming congregation in the Inverness area of Shelby County. Our worship style is mostly traditional but open to a blended style of music. The Pianist/Accompanist is part of the worship team. Work hours are Sundays from 9am to 11:30 am and outside prep time as needed. For candidates who desire to work with our choir, rehearsals are Wednesdays from 6:30pm-7:30pm, and salary would be negotiable dependant on skill and experience.
