Position: Practice Manager
In this pivotal role, you'll be at the heart of our mission to make veterinary care accessible and affordable while saving lives and keeping pets out of shelters. As our Practice Manager, you’ll blend analytical, advisory, supervisory, and technical skills to propel our goals forward and ensure our clinic’s success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinic Operations Oversight: Streamline patient flow and scheduling to ensure our clinic and spay/neuter services run like a well-oiled machine.
- Leadership and Supervision: Inspire and guide a diverse team, including customer service staff and around 22 veterinary technicians, fostering collaboration for seamless operations.
- Staff Management: Build and nurture a strong team, from recruiting and training to mentoring and performance management, all while staying within budget.
- Staff Development: Elevate your team by enhancing supervisors and leaders, balancing hours and budgets, and crafting optimal schedules in partnership with the Training Officer.
- Quality Control and Training: Uphold high standards of service and consistency by managing quality control and ensuring staff training aligns with our best practices.
- Financial Management: Oversee financial accuracy and manage third-party financing programs, collaborating with the Chief Medical Officer on charitable care initiatives.
- Inventory Management: Efficiently manage supplies and inventory, negotiate with suppliers, and keep our clinic stocked and budget-friendly.
- Volunteer Management: Collaborate with our volunteer manager to organize and supervise a dedicated team of volunteers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare management, or a related field (preferred).
- At least 3 years of clinic or healthcare management experience.
- Proven leadership skills with a knack for mentoring and developing teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong financial acumen and budget management experience.
- Veterinary clinic experience and CVPM certification (preferred).
