Veterinary Technician - Practice Lead; PETCURE ONCOLOGY JACKSONVILLE, FL

Job Summary:
The Practice Lead will be responsible for the general management of the PetCure Oncology program and ensure that day-to-day operations are smooth and efficient. The Lead will partner with the PetCure leadership team to effect positive change, growth, and development of the clinic. They are influential in the vision and direction of the hospital and actively involved in fostering a positive culture, while ensuring high standards of technicians and all staff with a commitment to all patients and client care.

Responsibilities:
Leading with Your Head
Understanding business, solving problems, and making decisions through inclusive contributions of others

Enforce systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
Oversee day-to-day operations and direct the flow of the daily schedule to maximize operating efficiency.
Maintain an appropriate inventory system, including controlled substance drawing, ordering, tracking, and overseeing completion of daily checklists & weekly maintenance logs.
Supervise, support and work with technicians
Perform new hire training
Monitor/Assign/Train all staff on new processes as needed
Manage your time effectively both on the floor and on administrative duties

Maintain effective employee-management communication and act as a liaison between staff and the leadership team to solve problems and implement solutions.

Monitor and assist staff with work progress, recognizing high performance and rewarding accomplishments.
Maintain employee motivation, structure and set clear team goals.

Supervise staff and resolve conflicts with staff/clients
Oversee team members' work for quality and quantity, while reflecting our core values.
Monitor and appraise job performance through employee reviews.
Ensure personnel are properly trained for their positions.
Identify training needs and provide coaching.
Organize and attend monthly staff meetings.
Responsible for Controlled substance and OSHA audits in line with company policy.
Resonsible for staff schedules, including timecards, payroll, managing time off requests.
Perform all Veterinary Technician duties and responsibilities
The art of bringing people together to leverage their skills, talents, and knowledge is to achieve a common purpose

Key Qualifications:
At least 2 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician
Veterinary office leadership-training experience

Essential Functions:
As a Veterinary Technician Lead, you will interact with all technicians with knowledge, kindness, compassion, and understanding as a caring team lead.
Carry out all duties in a professional and courteous manner, remaining respectful and polite in speech, tone and actions under all circumstances.

Basic computer knowledge
Excellent technician skills, IV catheter placement, blood draws, safe restraint, specimen preparations, experience with anesthesia including ventilator and more.
