Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to perform various administrative and financial tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and clerical skills, with proficiency in tools such as Excel and Microsoft Office . Candidate should have knowledge of principles and practices of basic office management. This role requires effective communication and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. A background in finance preferred. A deep personal faith would be helpful for this environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office.
- Financial duties such as contributions, accounts payable, payroll and other tasks.
- Manage calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings.
- Maintain organized filing systems.
- Correspondence
- Oversight of office equipment and telephone services.
- Assisting with church publicity such as the newsletter, mailings, and bulletins and webpage.
- Ordering of office supplies and materials requested by programmatic units of the church.
- Preparation of minutes and agendas for meetings for the session, its committees, Deacons and other organizations.
- Keeping an up to date filing system.
- Maintaining of membership files and official records of the church.
- Maintenance and operation of church's office equipment.
- Arranging volunteer to supervise the office when on vacation or study leave.
- Maintaining records of loaned out property (ie: keys, supplies, equipment)
- Prepare certificates of Baptism, ordination, installation.
- Prepare letters of transfer/new member reception.
- Order communion supplies and other worship supplies.
- Deal with those needing assistance with the food pantry.
- Supervise the custodian.

Qualifications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Previous administrative experience
- Previous Financial Background
- Computer literate with the ability to learn new software quickly
- Familiarity with office management tasks
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
