We are seeking a Payroll Analyst for our First Quality Enterprises located in New York. The Payroll Analyst is responsible for accurate computing, withholding, and deductions associated with net earnings. Reviews the computation of pay and ensures the company payroll policies are in accordance with government regulations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Transmission of multi-state weekly and bi-weekly payrolls for multiple companies
- Reconciles payroll each pay period for hours, earnings, and deductions
- Provides information and answers employee questions about payroll-related matters
- Maintains employee records
- Coordinates with HR to ensure correct employee data
- Assists with system maintenance: calendars, bonus processing
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within payroll, changes in wage and tax laws
- Provides reports to finance and other departments as necessary
- Audits timekeeping records for compliance with established policies and procedures, as necessary
The ideal candidate should possess the following:
- Associate degree in accounting or equivalent experience
- Experience in payroll accounting and posting of weekly payroll journal entries
- 3-5 years payroll and tax experience
- Workday experience helpful, but not required
- Must have multi-state payroll experience and solid grasp of payroll rules
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office including advanced experience with Microsoft Excel
- Strong team skills
- Strong communication skills
- Must be detail-oriented
The estimated annual salary range for this position is $68,000 - $85,000. Base pay is part of our total compensation package, which includes an attractive annual discretionary bonus and robust suite of employee benefits.
