What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bank Teller/Operations position at First State Bank?
This position performs various duties within our bank.
The employee will be responsible for handling operational duties including wires, cash letters, report balancing, account research, general ledger entries related to stop pays, NSFs, and rejects.
Along with operational responsibilities, this person will be also be tasked with accepting deposits and making withdrawals for checking, savings, and commercial accounts; transferring funds; selling cashiers checks; balancing cash drawer daily; answering questions regarding accounts; and proofing terminal input.
Excellent customer relations, interpersonal skills, communication skills, and a good work ethic are required. Mental concentration is necessary for handling multiple tasks simultaneously and for tolerating frequent interruptions; yet still performing customer service duties to the highest degree attainable. Must have good organizational skills, be able to meet deadlines, work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining a pleasant attitude to both co-workers and customers. High school education or equivalent is required. Skills should include 10-key, computer, and telephone.
