POSITION OVERVIEW
We are currently seeking an experienced Fleet Management professional to join our rapidly growing operations team. The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude, stellar work ethic, strong attention to detail and a customer service mindset – actively engaging with and supporting our branch leaders and employees with their company transportation needs.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the Enterprise Fleet Management relationship, sourcing and securing vehicles to supplement, expand and/or enhance the fleet
- Assist field leaders with fleet planning for replacement and growth expectations
- Schedule and monitor regular maintenance on all vehicles
- Coordinate urgent or emergency repairs as needed
- Establish and administer policies and procedures related to fleet usage, driver eligibility, safety, and compliance to all applicable DOT regulations
- Manage vehicle licensure and registration, and ensure all fleet vehicles are outfitted with insurance cards, proper safety equipment and accident reporting information
- Ensure all fleet drivers have proper licensure, up-to-date training and MVR screens as required by our insurance carriers
- Provide regular reporting on budgeting, maintenance and fleet progress
- Develop methods to decrease cost and improve efficiency of the fleet
- Work collaboratively with local management, safety and HR on facilitation of driver training, annual MVR screening, corrective actions and other driver management responsibilities.
ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT
- This position is part of the Central team and reports directly to the COO
- Regular daily working relationships with branch leadership, safety, finance and HR
- Strong accountability to branch leadership in supporting fleet availability, performance and cost
Qualifications
- 3-5 years large fleet management or administration experience, multi-state
- HVAC, construction or other mechanical services or utilities industry experience is preferred
- Ability to travel up to 50%
- Experience working with diverse fleet needs
- Track record in optimizing fleet usage and building strong relationships with field managers
- Solid experience with the MS 365 suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent verbal and written communicator
