What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transportation Dispatcher position at FirstFleet Inc?
FirstFleet is a national trucking company with 3000 trucks. Our new location in Upper Marlboro, MD, is looking for dedicated local Dispatchers.
This is a Full-Time position, 3 pm to 11pm shift available. Days off Tuesday & Wednesday.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Dispatch with tracking and scheduling of Drivers & Freight
- Customer communications
- Billing Management
- Customer reports
- Email communication
- Telephone communication
- Monitoring Hours of Service
- Monitoring inbound paperwork
- Conducting routine visual inspections of trucks for common defects such as flat or damaged tires, faulty pigtails, and other visible issues to ensure operational readiness
- Experience with TMW preferred but not required
Job Requirements:
- Computer Skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, Windows)
- TMW system knowledge preferred, but not required
- Excellent communication skills
- Minimum 1 year Trucking Dispatch experience preferred
- Ability to perform basic truck inspections for common defects
Pay will be $20/hr. with occasional overtime available.
Pre-employment drug screen required.
