Summary
As a Home Health Aide at FirstLight Home Care, you will play a vital role in providing personalized support to clients in their homes. This position is essential in helping individuals maintain comfort, dignity, and independence while receiving the compassionate care they need.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life.
- Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Help clients with mobility and physical exercises as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Support clients with medication reminders.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and reports on client progress.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients by following health and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare providers to coordinate care.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in patient care or caregiving is preferred.
- Strong understanding of long-term care principles and practices.
- Ability to monitor vital signs accurately and report findings appropriately.
- Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients and families.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is beneficial but not required.
- Must be reliable, organized, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
