As a caregiver at FirstLight Home Care, you will play a vital role in providing personalized support to clients in their homes. This position is essential in helping individuals maintain their dignity and independence while receiving the compassionate care they deserve.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance including catheter care and support with daily living activities.
- Prepare meals according to dietary needs and preferences of clients.
- Monitor and document vital signs as needed to ensure client health and safety.
- Assist clients with mobility and transportation needs to maintain their independence.
- Administer CPR and first aid when necessary, ensuring client safety at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the client's living environment.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals regarding care plans and changes in condition.
Qualifications
- Experience in senior care or home health assistance is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of catheter care and long-term care practices.
- Certification in CPR and first aid is preferred.
- Ability to prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual client needs.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients.
