Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Assist with meal preparation and ensure nutritional needs are met.
- Monitor client health and report any changes to the appropriate personnel.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Support clients with mobility and transfers as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain client confidentiality.
- Collaborate with family members and healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields, especially in senior or long-term care settings.
- Knowledge of memory care techniques and hospice care practices is preferred.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure client privacy.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
- Ability to perform physical tasks related to caregiving duties, including lifting or assisting clients as needed.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others live comfortably and independently.
