Payroll Specialist

firstPro is seeking an experienced payroll specialist to join a great team in the Lawrenceville, GA area. You will be responsible for payroll processing and payroll data entry.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately input employee data, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, and tax withholdings, into the payroll system.
• Enter and verify employee time and attendance records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Process and input various payroll-related data, such as bonuses, commissions, and deductions.
• Maintain accurate and organized payroll records.
• Assist in the preparation and processing of bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly payroll.
• Verify payroll data for accuracy and completeness before processing.
• Calculate and process payroll adjustments as needed.
• Assist in the distribution of paychecks or direct deposit notifications.
• Review and reconcile payroll data to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
• Generate and review payroll reports to verify data integrity.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies and address employee inquiries related to payroll data.
• Maintain confidentiality of all payroll information.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
• Maintain accurate and organized payroll documentation.
• Assist with general administrative tasks related to the payroll department.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist with the filing and organization of payroll documents.
