Job Summary:
A leading manufacturing company is seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Accountant to oversee and manage accounts payable and receivable processes. This role involves supporting daily financial operations, reconciliations, audits, journal entries, and organized accounting records, and ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger balances to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and preparing audit schedules.
- Prepare and post journal entries for various accounting transactions, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to accounting principles.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging reports, initiate collection efforts for overdue accounts, and maintain communication with clients to resolve payment issues promptly.
- Process vendor invoices and customer billings accurately and timely, manage payment schedules, and reconcile related accounts to maintain up-to-date financial records.
- Generate and analyze financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to support management in decision-making processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in accounting roles with a focus on reconciliations, audits, journal entries, collections, and AP/AR billing.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP.
Salary : $55,000 - $60,000
