Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Corporate Dining Support Manager to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to step in and manage dining units in the absence of regular managers, ensuring that operations run smoothly, service quality is maintained, and client expectations are met. This position requires frequent travel across the region to various corporate dining locations, providing essential leadership support wherever it’s needed most.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fill in for absent dining managers at corporate dining units within your assigned territory, ensuring seamless operations and maintaining high service standards.
- Oversee daily operations, including staff management, food quality, and customer service, to ensure a positive dining experience.
- Train and mentor staff as needed, ensuring they are equipped with the skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and food safety standards at all dining units.
- Address and resolve operational issues promptly, providing hands-on support to staff and clients.
- Collaborate with regional teams to assess performance and implement improvements when necessary.
- Provide on-site leadership and motivation to dining staff, maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
- Work closely with corporate leadership to report on performance and resolve any ongoing issues.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams to support long-term operational success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or a related field or;
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in restaurant or dining management, with a focus on corporate or large-scale dining operations.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to step in and lead operations on short notice.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage challenges effectively and make decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work closely with diverse teams and clients.
- Willingness to travel up to 100% of the time, often requiring overnight stays and flexible hours.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A customer-focused mindset, with a passion for maintaining high-quality dining services.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in corporate dining or hospitality services.
- Proficiency in using restaurant management software or systems.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
