Overview
Must be Director qualified by DCFS standards and have a signed transcripts by a licensing rep with approved credentials.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Daycare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. You will assist in the daily operations of the daycare, supporting the lead teachers in fostering the development of children from infancy through preschool age. Your passion for childhood development and caregiving will help create a positive experience for both children and their families.
Duties
- Assist in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
- Supervise children during playtime, ensuring safety and engagement.
- Support children with special needs by applying behavior management techniques as needed.
- Help maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
- Provide care for infants, including feeding, diapering, and comforting.
- Educate children on basic skills such as sharing, cooperation, and social interaction.
- Collaborate with lead teachers to assess children's progress and adapt activities accordingly.
- Participate in training sessions related to first aid and childhood development.
Experience
Ideal candidates will possess experience working with children in various settings. Key qualifications include:
- Background in childhood development or early childhood education is preferred.
- Familiarity with special education practices is a plus.
- Skills in behavior management to support diverse learning needs.
- Experience in caregiving roles that involve direct interaction with infants and preschool-aged children.
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques to create an effective learning environment.
- Certification in first aid is advantageous but not required at the time of application.
