Job Description
This position is accountable for developing accurate technical content, costing and delivery requirements for machine projects. The role involves maintaining correspondence and customer contact, as well as monitoring progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop clear and concise documentation including proposals, letters, work orders, presentations, and value selling tools.
- Interface with engineering, purchasing, contract administration, accounting and operations to provide professional responses to customer requirements.
- Travel to customer facilities to understand customer needs and gather critical information.
- Review all contract requirements against Fives Giddings & Lewis proposal, including negotiated modifications and translation requirements.
- Conduct business meetings, host customers, and present product information to various audiences.
- Promote the sale of Fives Giddings & Lewis products.
- Provide input on market demands, competitive pricing, and develop selling strategies.
- Manage sold projects to achieve scope and schedule plans.
- Maintain awareness and compliance with ISO 9001 &14001 standards.
Requirements:
- Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or 4-6 years related experience and/or training.
- Preferrably Mechanical or Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering background.
Skills:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written skills.
- Proven professionalism.
- Ability to read part drawings (blueprints).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Preferrably part processing, fixturing, and/or application experience with Machine Tools.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
