We are looking to hire a Production Planner in the city of Loves Park, IL. This is a contract to hire opportunity to join our Supply Chain Department.
Schedule: 7am-3:30pm; 8am-4:30pm
Job type: Fully On-Site; Contract to Hire
Pay: $22-28/hour
Role Purpose: Compiles and records production data and prepares records and reports of production, consumption of raw material and other aspects of production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compiles and records production data from such documents as customer orders and manufacturing orders
- Leads implementation and training of scheduling tools within business (ERPLN)
- Calculates factors such as types and quantities of items produced materials used, amount of scrap, and work centre production rates
- Management / maintenance of records, files, and documents related to work completed
- Responsible for management of material planning by opening manufacturing orders, releasing to business units and maintaining MRP parameters to support planning process for current and future demand based on historical data and forecast
- Prepares written work schedules based on established guidelines and priorities
- Verify and make corrections if needed to manufacturing transactions in order to close work orders
- Issue stock requisitions as needed
- Responsible for all cycle count related issues
- Responsible for timely month end and year-end reporting
- Knowledge of ERP/LN, Microsoft Word, Excel and Access programs needed
- Communicate customer order risks to customer service
- Responsible for DSA to customers
- Ability to work additional hours with short notice
- All other duties as assigned.

- Associates degree or equivalent from 2-year College, or 5 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment required
- Able to build effective relationships with customer contacts and maintain personal interaction with top accounts.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Technical interest regarding products, drawings and common PC Systems, knowledge of ERP system required.
- Positive attitude and an ability to work well with others in a team environment.
- Ability to work well in a fast paced and high-pressure environment.
Salary : $22 - $28
