The Drafter will collaborate closely with senior architects and project managers to ensure accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
Responsibilities
- Develop plans and drawings using CAD software such as AutoCAD and Sketchup.
- Collaborate with senior architects to develop plans and drawings.
- Refine designs based on feedback and project requirements.
- Support project scheduling and budgeting activities.
- Participate in construction management tasks.
- Maintain organized documentation of all drafts, revisions, and project changes.
- Contribute to business development efforts through client and community interactions.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in drafting technologies.
Experience
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD and Sketchup.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate drafts under tight deadlines.
- Understanding of construction document principles.
- Knowledge of project scheduling and budgeting.
- Professional communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members across various departments.
- Ability to contribute to architect/client relationship.
- A degree or certification in drafting or a related field is preferred but not required for candidates with relevant experience.
