SUMMARY
The Case Manager plays a vital role in the Non-Clinical Case Management Team by ensuring that WYARNG service members maintain medical readiness for deployment and mission requirements. This position is responsible for tracking and managing soldier medical records, updating Medical Readiness Classification (MRC) statuses, and ensuring accurate data entry into military medical systems, including MEDPROS, MODS, and PRT. The Case Manager directly assists service members by reviewing, correcting, and updating their medical documentation, coordinating Physical Health Assessments (PHAs), and working closely with military leadership to maintain compliance with Army and DoD medical readiness directives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Enter and update medical data in MEDPROS, MODS, MEDCHART, and PRT.
- Ensure accuracy of service members’ medical documentation.
- Track and coordinate PHAs, STRs, and medical board cases.
- Monitor and update soldier medical readiness status.
- Assist in documenting and tracking deployment readiness requirements.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MEDPROS and Army medical tracking systems.
- Ability to handle sensitive information in compliance with HIPAA and DoD requirements.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in medical records administration.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in military medical case management or data entry.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Primary work location: Raper Armory, Cheyenne, WY.
- Hybrid work environment (limited telework allowed).
- This position requires working one weekend per month (Saturday and Sunday) for WYARNG drill support.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Requires extended periods of computer work and data processing.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
Full-time, 40 hours per week, including one weekend per month for drill support.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Regular commute to primary work location is not considered travel.
Contract employees may be required to travel to execute any missions to support or augment the WYARNG consistent with all services described. Specifically, in the event of a mobilization or PHA event, the contractor shall ensure adequate case management service and support is available for travel to locations to best support these activities
CLEARANCE/LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
- Common Access Card (CAC) eligibility required.
- Favorable background check per Army Directive 2014-05.
