CNC Jig Grinder – Precision Grinding in Aerospace Manufacturing
We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Jig Grinder to perform precision grinding operations in an AS9100 / D aerospace manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience maintaining .0002” tolerances while grinding holes, stepped diameters, angles, and shoulders using a Moore Jig Grinder with a NASA CNC package .
Key Responsibilities :
- Operate a CNC Jig Grinder following work instructions and blueprints .
- Interpret and apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) to ensure precision machining .
- Execute grinding operations at required production rates while maintaining strict tolerance control .
- Perform grinding of holes, stepped diameters, angles, shoulders, and bottoming faces to .0002” precision .
- Dress various grinding wheels , including grit, borazon, diamond, and carbide .
- Achieve surface finishes of 8 micro or less .
- Conduct first-piece inspection and in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments .
- Maintain accurate documentation of manufactured measurements per work instructions .
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment .
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
