Purpose of Position
The Manager, IT- Software Engineering, oversees all Software Engineering operational activities. This includes leading custom application development and owning relationships with Managed Service Providers and SaaS partners.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Be a Servant Leader who drives business value through the strategic use of custom application development in the training management and manufacturing domains
- Coach and lead your hybrid scrum / extreme programming teams to adopt modern dev ops and test driven development practices
- Own MSP and SaaS partner relationships
- As an application and domain owner, develop and maintain strong business partner relationships
- Establish and manage to your annual budget while maintaining a sustainable pace for your teams
- Act as overall delivery lead of projects, collaborate with project managers and infrastructure leaders, and own your team’s releases
- Lead your team’s operations and break fix activities
- Facilitate 24x7 on-call support, after-hours as needed
- Prioritize and manage workload, issues, and risks
- Limited travel when required
