Florida A&M University's College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is please to announce the acceptance of qualified applications for the Coordinator, Computer Systems Control vacancy.
Responsibilities
Provides hardware & software technical support for the faculty and staff of the College of Pharmacy located at the Tallahassee, Peaden Campus, Tampa, Davie and Jacksonville campuses, computer and equipment, which include the setup and managing the operation of all computer equipment system; Analyze system performance and implement changes for improvement; Traveling reimbursement provided to Tallahassee and pharmacy practice centers located in Jacksonville, Tampa and Davie when University vehicle is not available; Supports and assists the Director of University Computer Systems as a secondary contact for Enflux, conducting training sessions and participate in data collection for Enflux reports; Supports the Director of University Computer Systems in setting up, managing and monitoring ExamSoft testing and exams and other testing software; Sets up, manages, and monitors the operation of all Zoom video-conferencing distance endpoints and classrooms; and troubleshoots system hardware and software malfunctions and take corrective actions for Zoom and other audio and videoconferencing equipment.
Provides specifications and configuration for the purchase of new equipment; Manages COPPS IPH Computer Laboratory and a network containing a Windows 2008 Server and attached workstations; Reviews and analyzes software and determine optimum configuration for installation, as well as customizing and maintaining system and hardware in the College of Pharmacy; Performs comprehensive diagnostic problem determination and implement required software patches, service packs, updates and/or enhancements to the COPPS computer software and hardware; Develops Data Backup and Discovery/Recovery Procedures for the branch servers and computer work station systems; Sets up, manages and monitors the operations of all audio-visual teleconferencing equipment; and Develops and maintains service log/database of all the College of Pharmacy equipment and keep service logs of all problems and technical service provided.
Assists with securing maintenance contracts with vendors for all IT equipment; Assists with onboarding of new employees (Faculty and Staff) in iRattler and other university computer systems software; Ensures equipment control and inventory of all off-campus electronic equipment for current and new employees; Assigns electronic access to the building to all Peaden Campus learners, Faculty and Staff; Primary contact person for electronic suppliers and subcontractors for the Peaden Campus; Maintains the annual inventory of the university technology and computer system equipment; Performs all task/duties associated with the administration of the College of Pharmacy network and assuring the functionality of network connectivity, security for the College of Pharmacy; Acts as liaison to the University network staff to ensure that the College/Peaden campus receives the best possible network service; Maintains office hours for students and employees for electronic related questions and equipment; Develops, documents and maintains library of standards for the use and control of COPPS computer software and hardware; Provides training/materials and assistance to the COPPS staff and students on departmental software and hardware; Provides training for faculty and staff on the proper use of audio-visual equipment in the classrooms; Assists with providing electronic access to the Peaden Campus for learners, Faculty and Staff; and other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or appropriate area specialization and two years of related experience; or master's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or appropriate area of specialization.
