Florida Cardiopulmonary Center, a leading Cardiovascular & Pulmonary practice with over 20 years of excellence, seeks an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or EMT to join our dynamic team.
We are looking for a mature, reliable, and friendly team player with excellent multitasking abilities, initiative, and a professional demeanor. Our center is affiliated with Medical Schools, Nurse Practitioner programs, and Medical Assistant training programs, providing active training for students. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our medical office, ensuring that patients receive exceptional service and care. This position requires a strong understanding of medical systems, patient service, and basic life support, along with knowledge of anatomy and experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Rooming patients, collecting vital signs and medical history
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure a clean, organized environment
- Chart documentation, patient scheduling and medical record management
- Assisting with prescription refills and patient callbacks/phone triage
- Performing EKGs and other medical procedures as needed
- Provide patient education and support as needed
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and office protocols
Qualifications:
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a pre-medical or related field
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred or EMT
- Prior experience in a medical office or physician’s practice is preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care and professionalism
