About the Role :
As a Program Director of Respiratory Therapy, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the respiratory therapy program. Your main objective will be to ensure the program's success by developing and implementing curriculum, managing faculty and staff, and maintaining accreditation standards. You will have the opportunity to shape the future of respiratory therapy education and make a positive impact on the lives of students and the healthcare industry. This position is responsible for the coordination, planning, presentation, and evaluation of the Respiratory Therapy program. The program director / faculty member is responsible for performing assigned duties during the day, evening, or weekend on any Florida National University Campus or outreach center as assigned. At a minimum, the related activities include administration of the Respiratory Therapy program, instruction; instructional counseling; serving on various committees; coordinating and / or participating in school based community events and service-learning activities and participating in local, state, regional, or national professional activities and organizations.
Minimum Qualifications :
- Master's degree from a regionally or nationally accredited institution or university
- Current and active licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in respiratory therapy education or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy principles, practices, and industry trends.
- Experience in curriculum development and program management.
